Notes About Opening Times

The gardens listed on this site are open at various times of the year, mainly in the high season, which is usually between April and October. Although many of the larger gardens (especially botanical gardens) may also be open all year round.

Due to the wide variations in opening times (and seasonal changes) we are only able to state the core months in which these gardens are open. For details of the actual days and times of opening please visit the garden's website, using the link provided or call them using the telephone number listed.

It should also be noted that many of the gardens listed here are located within the grounds of stately homes and manor houses, which may or may not also be open to the public. However, garden opening times do not always tally with the opening times of the associated property. Therefore if you wish to visit both the property and garden, it is best to check its website first for details.
